Dear Members,
Jo naput kivadok!
Good Day from Hungary!
You all in sunny Southern California will not believe this, but it actually snowed here this morning!! For about 20 minutes, and rained the rest of the day.

Today is the deadline day for ordering your delicious, life-giving food from your farm! Pickup on April 29 and 30.
Go to the Shop Now button, and order right now!!
The order will say what pickup date you are ordering for. Please be observant, and print out the email that is sent to you. 🙂

You can still squeeze in an order in the early morning, but ORDER NOW! To avoid any problems, forgetting, any computer glitches, etc.

I highly recommend that you re-read the book We Want To Live, The Primal Diet. I read it every year from cover to cover, and I always find some incredible piece of data that totally helps me in present time. Sometimes I find or re-read a consultation I had with Aajonus, and I remember something that dropped out.

Remember each of us should be eating a pound of butter a week minimum. Someone with any kind of nerve, joint or constipation issues should be eating as much as three pounds a week!

Recently I was introduced to the idea that low magnesium levels are rampant in the USA these days. And guess what! Heart irregularity can be caused by low magnesium!
So can muscle cramps and restless legs that some people feel in the evening or when laying down at night. In fact, there is a whole host of symptoms.

Now, if you are eating a varied raw diet, you will hopefully be getting enough magnesium. What foods are high in magnesium, you may ask?
Dark chocolate — hmm, maybe that’s why I crave chocolate!!
Dark leafy greens (oh, yeah, magnesium is like iron for plant blood and chlorophyll!)
Nuts and seeds
Fish
Avocados
Yogurt (?)
Bananas
Whole grains

Well! That seems like a good diet!
Raw Chocolate butter pudding every day, alternating with the lubrication formula just to keep your joints in good shape. It could be butter pie (pudding with crust)
Equal parts butter and egg, honey to taste, and raw chocolate powder or sauce. Blend when warm until smooth and creamy. Sip a bit for fun; put the rest in small cups or jars in the refrigerator to eat like pudding. More butter to make it more firm, more eggs to make it softer. 🙂 Enjoy!

The lubrication formulae is basically the same, an egg and a quarter cup of butter, honey and lemon juice. Blend when warm (warm water bath works) until it goes from tiny bits of butter floating in a swirling liquid to suddenly smooth and creamy. Drink it warm, or save some in a cool place for the middle of the night!

Dark leafy greens juiced daily along with celery (for your plant-based sodium intake). I add lime because I like it, and if I need some sweet, a bit of raw honey. Some folks like raw apple cider vinegar in it too. This is the time of year to get greens easily, and to grow them yourself! Even planters work, long and skinny, or put up pots, bags, or shoe holders up on a wall and grow them like crazy, even inside an apartment with a big window!

I really want to push the green juice, with some root vegies as you feel the need. This is something that has dropped out for a lot of Primal Dieters, as it can be a challenge to do it daily, or even every three days. BUT the people who have had the worst problems lately, even ended up in the hospital over the last couple of years, had let it drop out. Juice can be expensive or time consuming, but very necessary to your health and progress to betterment.  Juice is our source of minerals and vitamins in those tiny, very live packages that can get into even the most tired of cells who do not have the energy to absorb them properly. I know that many chiropractors and health professionals prefer supplements because they can feel that they know how much you are getting, but it is Sooo much better to get a live food source that you need a tiny fraction of the mineral or vitamin to get the same benefit as a whole pill of powder. And the negative effects of the pill can outweigh the benefits you get, especially since so many supplements are not really effective.

Nuts and seeds are like chocolate, and need raw, unsalted butter and eggs to be assimilated properly. Some raw honey for flavor, of course!! You can eat nuts with a butter and honey dip while you sip and eggnog too!

Fish. I do like fish. Sushi or ceviche. Yum! We really need to get a good supply of this available in the club. How about it, Scott? Are you up for the order on Monday fish routine? We’d have to just order whatever was available, sort of blind, going for black cod or whatever is coming from the Atlantic coast or New Zealand. . .

Avocado go with all of that! They make a great chocolate frosting, and I love them with my ground meat (raw, of course!!) and added at the end with fish or ceviche.

Yogurt and bananas together? Yum!!

I’m not so keen on whole grains myself, eating them rarely as a moist sprouted bread by Garden of Eden or Manna Bread, or museli, which is raw oats soaked in water or milk. I do like chia soaked, and flax can be soaked and eaten too, fenugreek seed, and fennel. In fact, you can soak them all together with apple juice and raisins for a great treat! Those are not grains, however, but seeds. Grains are grass-related seeds.

And mineral water. I prefer the bubble free, unless the bubbles are natural. None of what we get in the USA is natural now.  Carbonation leaches calcium.
I know Aajonus downplayed drinking water, but that is only if you are drinking juice three time a day, eggnogs and milk, sport drinks, and eating wet foods like tomatoe and pineapple all day long. He expected people to be drinking all day! Eggs, milk, tomato, sport drink, lemonade, and whey., Kefir. If you re-read the book, you will find he often drank water when he was thirsty, or sometimes ate a lot of oranges or watermelon, or tons of eggs, or only milk and honey for a few weeks. You have to listen to your body too. Eat what you crave, as long as it is whole, live food that is not super sweetened or salty. Eat raw fat as much as you like. That is the real missing secret power food!! Butter and lots of it!! Eat strange things you don’t normally eat that interest you. They probably have something you need. Herbs can be added to juice, and should be. They are full of special compounds that are good for us.

While you may need a special formulation of Magnesium (like that from Dr. Caroline Dean, very small particles that are absorbed before the gut, and therefore does not cause diarrhea) for a while if you have a severe condition, it is far better to seek out and get plenty of magnesium through food. Supplements are really a lazy way of getting what we need, and make us think we have it covered, and we get lazy about our food, getting and eating only the easy things, cheating a bit when we eat out, and slipping off the wagon.

I wish we could all just live on a farm!! Here in Europe, what I have seen outside of cities is small groups of houses with farmland all around them, small farms. It is exactly what I envision as the perfect way of life!! A group of houses, then a mile or few miles off, another group of houses, like 10. Amish communities have a minimum of 10 families. HMMM. My ideal scene is to have a few houses together, like 10, with some space between, a play area in the middle, then farmland around the outside. A couple or three, maybe as many as five people could do the farm work, or it could rotate a bit, and the other people each do what they love or do best for work or for each other. Food makers, clothing makers, furniture, writing books, making movies, going outside of the community for whatever, teaching, online sales, etc.

Well! Happy Spring!! See you soon!!
Love from Marilyn
