The last potluck was really fun, with a nice attendance, and an abundance of food. Lucky brought ice cream from the farm, and that was fun! Fish, chicken and read meat dishes were enjoyed by all. Frank had a lovely dessert, and someone brought drinks.Jim, Fred, Kathy, Kathy’s friend Randy, Noriko, Scott, Marilyn, Chris, Louis, Frank, Ebrahim, Randy and Marnie with Tad also attended. (I apologize if I forgot your name here. I should have written this sooner!) Paul helped set up the TV, but we had a technical glitch (missing remote) and postponed the first viewing of the Primal Workshop. We had fun anyway, got to visit and enjoy each other’s company and food.
We are all so busy it is nice to stop and take a bit of time for friends, and group members. Once a month, or one a quarter if you can’t do once a month, is good. Eating together is a bonding activity, and sharing food even more so. This is also an opportunity to try new recipes, or bring a friend to try new things. The video is our bet idea yet for introducing new people to the diet, or to our group. Seeing Aajonus and hearing him speak are priceless.
We have a nice large TV to see it on too! It is a nice, comfortable, and positive way to share this information. We hope to see you at the next potluck! We are moving it to the third weekend, at the end of our pickup time at RA in Westchester.
I want to put in a plug for JUICING and EXERCISE, not to mention HOT BATHS to help maintain health. Our oldest healthiest members do these things, and it is not a fluke that they are the healthiest. Of course, eating raw fats and meats, and dairy as you can, cleansing fruits full of enzymes are all part of the package. ENZYMES are the other key.
One of our most impressive members, Pem Wall, a Karate champion at 76 years of age, eats 4 to 6 eggs for breakfast, meat and fat at lunch, and home made ice cream for dinner! Along with some cheese, a quart and a half of green juice daily, and some butter pudding, papaya custard, etc as the mood strikes. Eating right can be fun! He also exercises. See him speak of this on the video at We Want 2 Live website. It may be available just straight on YouTube.
Scott also exercises a great deal, walking everywhere he can, or riding his bicycle. He only drive when he must. He does other exercise also.
I know Aajonus wasn’t big on it for himself, but he did say he was unusual in his lack of need for exercise. So, start small and build up. Don’t exhaust yourself, but get the blood flowing, the oxygen moved around and into the nooks and crannies.
See you soon!
